This partnership will be a delight for both opera lovers and classical newcomers alike. “Jo and I put this project together in just three weeks (a fraction of the time we’d usually take to plan any normal DEBUT project), but we needed to. We couldn’t do another lockdown with nothing to work on, to inspire us and to bring together our fellow musicians.
We have managed to put the project together on an incredibly tight shoe-string budget but there are still costs involved, so if you are able to help our project, which brought together 16 musicians and creatives, we would be immensely grateful.”

The Pandemic of 2020 hit the music world really hard. In an industry that is incredibly tough to ‘make it in’ in normal times, let alone a worldwide pandemic, musicians were faced with the standstill of their industry, many losing over a years worth of work. We set up the ‘Hygge Project’ for any musician who wanted to create and share music and a little insight into their lives during lockdown to hopefully bring a little comfort to them and our audiences.
